Libertadores Final RAE ARGENTINA TO THE WORLD

Boca fans attacked and repressed in Rio

Boca Juniors fans were attacked on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

In videos released on social media, it can be seen how hundreds of people, allegedly Fluminense fans, attacked the Argentines en masse by the sea.

They threw chairs, umbrellas, and other objects at the fans of the Buenos Aires team, who had gathered to wait for the final of the Copa Libertadores.

To contain the disturbances, the local police repressed with tear gas and arrested several people.

Incidents and clashes continued throughout the night on the beach and in bars in Rio, with the result that more Argentines were arrested.

There is concern because an estimated 100,000 Boca fans are expected to arrive in Rio for tomorrow's match.

In addition, the Argentine ambassador in Brazil, Daniel Scioli, denounced the "unjustified brutality" of the Rio police.

Scioli remarked that the police repressed the Argentines despite the fact that "they did not steal anything, they did not assault anyone, they were just on the beach proudly wearing their shirts".
