The Ministry of Security together with international humanitarian aid agencies launched in Argentina the International Humanitarian Network of Argentina with the aim of providing a rapid response to emergency situations and disasters.

This Network aims to "provide a rapid response to emergency situations, and will bring together humanitarian sectors including the United Nations System, the International Red Cross, Red Crescent Societies and the Argentine Red Cross," it was reported.

It also brings together international humanitarian NGOs such as Caritas Argentina, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), the International Committee for the Development of the People (CISP) and Physicians of the World.

Argentina's Minister of Security, Sabina Frederic, stressed that "rarely has it been so urgent that all countries join efforts to fulfill the promise of nations being united as they are now".

She added that in a context of pandemic and crisis, "the multilateral system of the United Nations plays an important role, helping in the response to the emergency and placing health care and life at the center of the scene".
