Héctor Timerman met Panamanian former presidents

 

Arístides Arroyo & Martín Torrijos ratified their support of the Argentine claim over the Malvinas Islands sovereignty, and defined it as a “Latin American cause”.

 

During and official tour throughout Central America, Timerman appreciated the integration of a support group of the Malvinas issue and highlighted the historic importance of the Panamanian role.

 

The Minister also met his local peer, Roberto Henríquez, and both agreed on praising the “relationship of historical solidarity between them, fostering the bilateral and multilateral relationship and devising a mechanism of economic consultations.

 

Timerman praised the figures of both former rulers and they all recalled old bilateral meetings in which they had joined in Latin American causes.

 

Torrijos commented that his country will Head the next Ibero American Summit Secretary functions in 2013 and will work on the Argentine claim. He also praised the importance of the COPPPAL and other instances grouping political parties at the international level
