Federal Mining Provinces Federation created

The new entity is integrated by the governors of the mining provinces headed by Jujuy Governor, Eduardo Fellner.

Through the new entity, the provinces committed themselves to advance toward a new Federal Agreement in the field to foster new levels of added value, employment, training, and respect of the environment with the participation of the “native peoples”.

Fellner added that thru the “state-run corporations”, governors will try to increase provincial royalties.

When enquired about the latest conflicts arisen against mining undertakings, the governor said they will try to look for the appropriate mechanisms to solve them and achieve a sustainable management of mining activity.
